What is domain forwarding? Domain forwarding is becoming an ever more popular service on the Internet. If you already have a web site and you would like your new domain name to point to your site, our Domain Forwarding service may be just what you need. Domain forwarding will redirect your domain name to any existing web site address or IP address without your site's visitors noticing any difference. How does it work? Once you have provided us with the web site address or IP address, we then setup the domain to be redirected automatically to that location. Here's a small example: You have an existing free web site with your Internet Service Provider and the problem is the address is hard to remember. (ie www.yourisp.com/~username). With domain forwarding, your visitors will only need to type in your domain name and it will go directly to your site. Your visitors will never have to remember the other address. Who can use it? Our service is available to anyone that has a presence on the Internet. If you have a web site, you can use our domain forwarding service. How much does it cost? If you are already a hostmaster.ca hosting client, this service only costs $40.00 plus GST annually. If you are not currently a hostmaster.ca client, the annual fee is $60.00 plus GST. These fees are in Canadian funds. The rate of G.S.T. is 6%. How do I sign up? If you would like to start using domain forwarding, the process couldn't be easier. All you have to do is send an email to service@hostmaster.ca or call us at (613)768-5124. At that time we can either mail or fax our domain forwarding request form to you. As soon as it is returned to us, we will setup your new service.
